Living our BEST LIVES.
“In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”
— Tony Robbins
Habits 3 ways.
Keystone·Habits
Small changes or habits that, once introduced into routine, unintentionally carry over into other habits, creating a cascading habit effect.
Micro·Habits
Actions that require minimal motivation or effort to engage. Over time, Micro Habits slowly build on themselves and result in noticeable transformations.
Stacking·Habits
Adding new habits onto existing and strongly engrained habits, using the connectedness of behaviour to our advantage.
Habits are the pens that write our life stories and our personal habits help to awaken our life’s potential.
Despite that, oftentimes when we think of our habits, we categorize them into one of two possibilities - they're either good or they’re bad, they serve us or they fail us. The problem such a rigid position, is that we lose a little bit of the nuance that comes from allowing space for gentler and broader perspectives. Enter the idea of viewing our habits as life long friends. If we view our habits as tools that help to enrich our lives, then we can allow ourselves a little bit of grace, bring focus to those habits that serve us best, allowing us to live richer and more fulfilling lives.
The three habit types mentioned above are fantastic tools to build on our best potential. Micro habits are little habits that pack a big punch. Drinking a glass of water. Counting to 10 before entering a room. Breathing minutes scattered in the day. Little tiny habits leading to big transformations. Stacking habits build on all of the good habits that we already do. We walk with friends, eat balanced diets, meditate, etc. We do so many good things in a day, and habits stacking is simply building up the stack! And Keystone Habits? Well they’re the MVP of our lives. If you can only focus on one habit, make it one of these, because they have the uncanny ability to bring other habit transformations along for the ride. Think of the person who quits smoking and finds themselves running marathons. Heavy hitter habits are a part of all of our wheelhouses!
Transformations take time and aren’t always visible on the outside. That’s why they are personal to each of us. The part that unites all of us, is that we are all made up of our habits, and like any living organism, they will evolve over time. A past challenge is not reflective of the future potential, growth is a part of our entire lives, and we are truly infinite.
You are here because you value your health, you are focused on your future, and you seek and appreciate tools that work! The nutrition systems introduced here fit exceptionally well in all three habit categories - they are a simple addition to complex busy lives, easily adaptable to tastes and interests, and hold the potential to assist in life transformations.
